Okay, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 finale. Let's talk about it. And maybe brace yourselves because I might have some…unpopular opinions.
The End of the Beginning
The season wraps with the Death Painting arc. We see Yuji, Nobara, and Megumi facing off against some seriously creepy cursed wombs.
Honestly, the whole Death Painting thing was a bit…much for me. Like, cool designs and all, but did we *really* need that much sibling angst?
Kechizu and Eso: Friends or Foes?
These two were kinda gross. I mean, the whole blood manipulation thing? Ewww.
But, I will admit, their fight choreography was pretty cool. Though, I mostly just remember cringing at the…everything.
Anyone else think the blood was too much or is it just me?
Nobara: Underrated Queen
Now, let's talk about Nobara Kugisaki. She absolutely *killed* it in this arc!.
Her Resonance technique? So stylish and effective! I'm seriously hoping she gets way more screen time in future seasons.
Seriously, can we all agree that she deserves better?
Yuji's Emotional Rollercoaster
Yuji Itadori, as always, is a cinnamon roll who deserves the world. Watching him struggle with the weight of Sukuna is just heartbreaking.
He's just trying to do the right thing! Can't catch a break. Poor guy!
Anyone else want to give him a hug?
Megumi: The Brooding Genius
Megumi Fushiguro is still as stoic as ever. He's like the Batman of Jujutsu Tech. In a cool way.
His Ten Shadows Technique is seriously impressive. I wish we got to see even more of it in this arc.
Does he ever smile? Seriously! Show us some teeth, Megumi!
Unpopular Opinion Time!
Okay, here it comes. Deep breath. I wasn't *super* impressed with the season finale.
Don't get me wrong, it was good! But it felt like a bit of a step down from some of the earlier arcs. Especially the Vs. Mahito fight!
It was a bit too long and the villains weren't the most interesting. Fight me!
Overall: Still Hyped for More
Despite my minor gripes, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 was amazing. The animation is gorgeous, the characters are compelling, and the plot is captivating.
Gojo Satoru alone is worth the price of admission. Can't wait for season two!
So what are your thoughts? Was the finale good? Let's discuss!
