Hear me out! Not for actual news, obviously. For entertainment. It's like a really dramatic soap opera. With politics.
Think about it. The over-the-top arguments. The ridiculous graphics. The constant shouting. It's pure theater! I may not trust the information, but sometimes I am invested in the drama.
Yes, I know. It's terrible. I should be ashamed. But hey, at least I'm honest!
Oliver's Solutions? (Sort Of)
John Oliver, being the responsible adult in the room, offered suggestions. Mostly aimed at making news less... shouty. Less biased. Less completely insane.
Easier said than done, right? Getting people to agree on, well, anything these days feels impossible.
