Okay, let's talk Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2. How many episodes did we actually get? Prepare yourself, because I have an unpopular opinion.
The Great Episode Count Debate
Season 2 clocked in with a total of 22 episodes. Twenty-two! Seems like a lot, right? But honestly, did it feel like that many?
I swear, some seasons feel like they flash by. Others drag on like a bad blind date. Where did *Organized Crime* Season 2 fall?
Is More Really More?
Here's my hot take: 22 episodes is too many. Fight me! Seriously, though, did every single episode advance the overall story arc?
Sometimes it felt like we were getting a bit of filler. Maybe trimming it down to a tight 16-18 episodes would have made for a punchier, more impactful season.
Don't get me wrong, I love Elliot Stabler. Christopher Meloni is fantastic. But even he can't make a mediocre plotline sparkle.
Remember Wheatley?
Season 2 wrestled with the fallout from the first season's arc featuring Richard Wheatley. That whole saga was wild. Did they completely resolve all those threads across the season?
It felt like at times, the momentum stalled. New threats emerged, which is fine, but some felt a little... tacked on. Like a surprise pop quiz you didn't study for.
Maybe less Wheatley fallout, more focused storylines? Just a thought.
The "Quality Over Quantity" Argument
Look, I'm not saying every episode was bad. There were definitely some bangers in there. Intense interrogations, undercover ops, the usual Law & Order goodness.
But I'm a firm believer in "quality over quantity." Give me fewer episodes, but make each one a knockout punch. A gut-wrenching emotional rollercoaster.
Instead of spreading the story thin over 22 episodes, concentrate the juice! Turn up the heat! Explode the drama!
Unpopular Opinion Incoming
And here it is: I wouldn't have minded if *Law & Order: Organized Crime* Season 2 had, say, 18 episodes. A tighter narrative. Less meandering. More focused Stabler rage.
I know, I know. Some people love the long seasons. They want to spend as much time with their favorite characters as possible.
But for me, a shorter, more intense season would have been even better. Leave me wanting more! Make me crave the next episode!
The Final Verdict (According to Me)
So, 22 episodes it was. And while I enjoyed Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 2 overall, I can't help but think it could have been even better with a little judicious trimming.
Perhaps future seasons will strike a different balance. Maybe I'll change my mind. But for now, I stand by my slightly controversial stance.
What do you think? Am I completely off base? Let me know!
I think Christopher Meloni is great in Law and Order: Organized Crime.
