Okay, let's talk My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission. Specifically, the USA release. Remember that rollercoaster?
The Great USA Release Date Mystery
It feels like ages ago, doesn't it? We saw Japan get it first. Then, we were all refreshing our browsers, waiting for the USA date to drop.
The anticipation was REAL. Like, "waiting for Santa" levels of excitement. Except instead of presents, we wanted explosive quirks and awesome fight scenes.
Remember the Speculation?
The internet was a MESS of speculation. Everyone had a theory. Was it delayed due to licensing? Was there a villain attack at the distribution center? (Okay, maybe I made that last one up.)
We all became amateur sleuths. Analyzing trailers frame by frame. Looking for clues in obscure tweets from anime companies. It was a wild time to be alive.
And then...bam! It finally arrived. But the wait felt like an eternity.
My "Unpopular" Opinion
Here's where I might ruffle some feathers. Buckle up.
I think the delayed release…wasn't THAT bad. Hear me out!
Think about it. We got to avoid spoilers for a little longer. We had time to rewatch the series and get hyped all over again.
Also, the longer the wait, the sweeter the victory, right? The feeling of finally watching Deku, Bakugo, and Shoto team up was extra special because of the journey.
Let's be honest...
Plus, who DIDN'T spend that extra time perfecting their All Might impression? Admit it, you practiced your "I AM HERE!" in the mirror. Don't lie.
The delay just fueled the My Hero Academia fire. It gave us more time to appreciate the series. More time to argue about who the best character is (it's obviously Eraserhead, don't @ me).
And when it FINALLY hit theaters? The energy was insane! Everyone was ready. Ready to cheer, ready to cry, ready to witness some serious hero action.
Looking Back (with a smile)
So, yeah. The My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission USA release date drama? I don't hate it.
It added to the legend. It made the experience even more memorable. It was a shared experience, a collective anticipation.
We all suffered...and then we all triumphed...together! Now we can all argue about the best moments in the movie. You know, the important stuff.
Plus Ultra!
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch it. For research purposes, of course.
