Okay, Let's Talk MHA Season 6 Premiere...Kinda?
Alright, let's be real. Season 6 of My Hero Academia arrived with a BANG! Everyone was hyped for the Paranormal Liberation War. But did the first episode really deliver that bang? I'm not so sure.
Where's the "Boom" I Was Promised?
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad. It just felt...like setting the stage. A lot of talking. Lots of characters looking serious. Very little actual hero-ing, ya know?
Maybe this is just me. But I was expecting ALL-OUT WAR from minute one. Instead, we got a recap with extra tension. It felt like a slow build that took way too long.
Unpopular Opinion Alert! (Brace Yourselves)
Here it comes. My slightly heretical thought. The season 6 premiere was... a bit boring. Okay, *gasps* I said it! Throw your tomatoes, I'm ready.
I know, I know. It was important to set the scene. To remind us who’s fighting who and why. But, come on! Give us a little action, a little quirk-filled chaos!
All Might's Still Got It (The Voice, At Least)
I will admit, seeing All Might, even just narrating, still gives me chills. His voice actor is a legend! That guy could read the phone book and I'd be invested.
And the glimpses of our favorite heroes preparing for battle? Solid. Especially Deku, of course. That kid is always ready to jump into the fire.
The Villains Need a Reality Check (and Maybe Some Coffee)
The villains? They're creepy. Like, genuinely unsettling. Shigaraki is terrifying! But even they felt a little…patient in the first episode.
I’m sitting here like, "Come on guys, you're about to wage war, show some energy! Maybe you need a double espresso."
Episode 1: The Calm Before the Storm (Or Just a Really Long Warm-Up?)
Look, I get it. This episode was basically the calm before the storm. The show wants to build tension. Make us feel the weight of what's to come.
But sometimes, you just want the storm to arrive already! You want the epic fights! The mind-blowing quirk battles! Not a PowerPoint presentation on impending doom.
I'm Still In, Obviously (I'm Too Invested to Quit)
Despite my little rant, I'm still completely hooked on My Hero Academia. I've invested too much time and emotion to back out now.
Season 6 has the potential to be legendary. I have faith that the following episodes will bring the action and excitement we're all craving.
Final Verdict: Room for Improvement (But High Hopes!)
So, season 6 episode 1? A solid start. A decent appetizer. But definitely not the main course I was hoping for.
Let's hope the rest of the season lives up to the hype. Because if it does, we're in for one wild ride! Who's with me?
