Okay, let's talk My Life Is Murder. Specifically, Season 2 Episode 7. Anyone else think this one was... interesting?
Don't get me wrong, I love Alexa Crowe. Lucy Lawless is a queen.
But sometimes, just sometimes, I feel like the cases are a little... out there. Is that just me?
The Case of the Quirky... Well, Everything
This episode had a very specific vibe, didn't it? A murder in a competitive dog grooming world. Yes, you read that right.
I'm not saying it wasn't entertaining. I'm just saying... dog grooming? Really?
And the suspects! Each one more eccentric than the last.
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here's where I might lose some of you. I kind of found some of the characters a bit... much. Over-the-top much.
I appreciate the show's attempt at quirky, but sometimes it felt like they were trying too hard. Like, "Let's make everyone super weird!"
Maybe I'm just boring. Maybe I prefer my murders with a side of slightly less flamboyant suspects.
Alexa's Amazingness (Always!)
But even with my minor gripes, Alexa Crowe saves the day. As always.
Her intuition is incredible. And her baking skills are top-notch!
Seriously, I want to know what her secret is. Solving crimes and making perfect muffins? Goals.
And let's not forget her interactions with Harry. Their dynamic is one of the best parts of the show.
He's the perfect foil to her chaotic brilliance. They're like the odd couple of crime-solving.
The Twist (Was It Really?)
The big reveal? Did anyone actually see that coming? I'll admit, I was partially surprised.
But then again, with a cast of characters that outlandish, almost anything could have happened.
The motive, though... seemed a little flimsy, even for a lighthearted murder mystery.
Was it really worth killing someone over a best in show ribbon?Hmm.
Overall Verdict: Still Entertaining!
Despite my mini-rant, I still enjoyed the episode. My Life Is Murder is always a fun watch.
It's light, breezy, and doesn't take itself too seriously. Which is exactly what I need sometimes.
And let's be honest, Lucy Lawless could read a phone book and I'd probably be entertained.
So, even if the case was a little silly, and the characters a tad extra, I'll still be tuning in next week.
Because who doesn't love watching Alexa Crowe solve crimes while simultaneously judging everyone's life choices?
Am I the only one who thought this episode was a bit OTT? Let me know your thoughts!
