Okay, let's talk My Next Life As A Villainess, Season 2, Episode 12. We all watched it, right? Let's just dive right in, shall we?
The Finale Frenzy: Thoughts I Dare to Share
First off, Catarina Claes. Bless her cotton socks. She's dense as a brick, but that's why we love her, right?
But honestly, did anyone really think she was going to pick just one person? The suspense was there, sure. But come on.
I mean, the girl is practically a walking harem route. Avoiding doom flags by... collecting potential suitors? Genius!
Fortune Lover and Its Characters
Speaking of suitors, can we just acknowledge how patient everyone is? Like, seriously patient. I would have lost it ages ago.
Geordo Stuart being all possessive. We get it, buddy, she’s your fiancée. But maybe let her breathe a little?
And Keith Claes, Catarina's adoptive brother. A sweetheart, honestly. Though, sometimes, I feel bad for him. Forever in the friendzone?
Don't get me started on Alan Stuart and his musical numbers. I love them, but sometimes they feel...out of place? It's a minor point, I know.
Then there's Mary Hunt and Sophia Ascart. Both amazing characters, and I'm glad they're part of Catarina's ever-expanding circle of friends...and potential lovers, let's be real.
And we mustn't forget Nicol Ascart. The silent, mysterious type. Always a winning formula in anime, isn't it?
My (Slightly Unpopular) Opinion
Here's my hot take: I'm kind of okay with Catarina not choosing anyone. Don't hate me!
The whole point of the series is her avoiding doom, right? Romantic commitments might actually *create* doom flags in the long run.
Plus, let's be honest, watching her navigate all these relationships is half the fun. A reverse harem is far more fun anyway.
It's like, why limit herself? She's got a whole smorgasbord of amazing people who clearly adore her.
Let her enjoy the attention! She deserves it after all the chaos she's caused (accidentally, of course).
The Ending: Sweet, but Predictable
The ending was cute, don't get me wrong. Everyone happy and healthy and together. A very Catarina ending.
But did it feel a little...safe? Maybe. I was secretly hoping for a surprise twist. Like a new character showing up from nowhere and sweeping her off her feet.
Or, plot twist, Catarina accidentally creates a black hole with her magic and has to save the world. That would be something, right?
I wouldn't have mind seeing more of the political aspect of the world, or more action. More exploration of the magic system. But I suppose that's not what this anime is about.
What Comes Next?
So, what about Season 3? Will it happen? I certainly hope so.
Will Catarina finally choose someone? Will more doom flags arise? Will we ever find out what that darkness magic is?
One thing's for sure: I'll be watching. And probably overanalyzing every single interaction. Because that's what we do, right?
All hail to the chaotic cluelessness that is Catarina Claes, and her group of adoring friends.
And to more seasons of harem-avoiding, doom-flag dodging, and generally delightful shenanigans.
It's been a great journey.
