Okay, Let's Talk "Power Book II: Ghost" S2 E7
Season 2 Episode 7. Remember that one? Yeah, the one where stuff really started hitting the fan. Or maybe it was just me slowly losing my mind. Either way, let's dive in.
Tariq's Always Got a Plan (Maybe?)
Look, Tariq is smart. He really is. But sometimes, his plans feel like he watched one episode of *Breaking Bad* and decided he was Walter White.
He's always scheming. Always got a backup plan for his backup plan. Honestly, I'm tired. Just graduate already, dude!
The Tejada Family Drama: A Never-Ending Saga
Okay, the Tejadas. Can we all agree they need therapy? Like, family therapy for the next ten seasons?
Monet is stressed, Cane is psycho (but entertaining!), Diana is finally finding her voice, and Dru... well, Dru is just there, looking pretty. No offense, Dru.
Every time I think they’re about to get along, BAM! Betrayal, secrets, and a whole lot of yelling. It's exhausting, but I’m still watching.
Lauren: The Most Unlucky Character Ever
Poor Lauren. Seriously, can this girl catch a break? She's been through more drama than my high school years.
Every time she gets close to happiness, the universe decides to throw a truckload of bad luck her way. I'm not saying she's perfect, but she deserves better.
Brayden: My Unpopular Opinion
Here it is: I actually like Brayden. Don't @ me! I know, I know, he's a privileged rich kid who gets away with everything.
But he's also fiercely loyal (in his own weird way). Plus, he brings some much-needed comic relief to a show that can get incredibly dark.
He is also the only person who is honest about wanting the money and lifestyle. At least with Brayden what you see is what you get.
The Course Professor: A Little Too Involved?
The professor’s character. Seemed a little too interested in Tariq's life. Red flags, anyone? Did anyone see the twist coming?
It was almost cartoonish how suspicious she was. Is this believable in a real college setting?
Overall Thoughts
Episode 7 was a pressure cooker. Tensions were rising, alliances were shifting, and the body count was climbing.
The episode kept us glued to our seats even though it involved the Tejadas. I think the acting for this series is good and getting better with each season.
Did it make perfect sense? Probably not. Did I enjoy the ride? Absolutely. Now, bring on the next season!
Also, Monet Tejada. Is there a stronger female character on television?
"Family is everything. But money helps too." - Probably Monet Tejada
