The Girl Groups...Again!
This week's maxi challenge was, yep, another girl group extravaganza! The queens had to write, choreograph, and perform a song. I know, I know, it feels like we've seen this before, but trust me, this one had some special sauce.
First up, the groups got their names: Spice Girls Rejects and Mighty Mic Drops. Catchy, right? Each team had to create their own unique girl group vibe and bring it to the runway.
Spice (Girls Rejects) of Life
The Spice Girls Rejects featured a mix of personalities, and let's just say, harmony wasn't always their strong suit. They certainly brought the energy, but sometimes it felt like a little too much energy. It was like watching a sugar rush in real-time.
But you gotta admire their commitment! They really tried to embody the girl group spirit, even if their song wasn't exactly topping the charts. It was fun and energetic.
Dropping the Ball...Or the Mic?
Meanwhile, the Mighty Mic Drops were aiming for a more polished, professional look. Their choreography was slick, and their vocals were strong. They seemed to have a really solid plan going in, which helped.
While they faced creative clashes, the final performance showed a united front. They really worked together, even with strong, unique personalities.
Runway Realness: Pop Art Perfection
The runway theme was Pop Art, and the queens brought their A-game! We saw everything from Andy Warhol-inspired looks to Lichtenstein-esque dots galore. The creativity was off the charts.
Some queens truly popped (pun intended!). Others...well, let's just say their interpretation of Pop Art was a little more abstract. Regardless, the runway was full of creativity.
The Lip Sync Lowdown
This week's bottom two faced off in a lip sync to a fierce track. The tension was palpable! Both queens gave it their all, but in the end, RuPaul had to make a tough decision.
Sadly, one queen sashayed away, leaving the competition. But hey, at least they left us with some unforgettable moments! It’s always sad to see someone go, but it's part of the game.
