The Fireworks Fizzled?
The whole fireworks festival seemed…rushed. We've seen Shikimori be so great at building anticipation. This time? A bit of a sparkler, not a full-blown display.
Maybe it's just me, but the "will they, won't they hold hands?" drama felt forced. They're practically dating! Can we move past the super-shy phase already?
Izumi's Luck Strikes Again
Poor Izumi! That kid can't catch a break. Seriously, does he have a permanent rain cloud following him? It's almost comical at this point.
But even his bad luck felt…predictable. We've seen it before. Tripping, falling, almost getting hit by something…yep, it's the Izumi Special.
I'm not saying I *want* him to get hurt, of course! Just maybe, throw in a curveball, writers? Surprise us!
Shikimori's Overprotective Mode: A Little Much?
We all love Shikimori's badass side. Her jumping in to protect Izumi is always cool.
But sometimes, it feels like she's suffocating him a little. He's a teenage boy, not a fragile porcelain doll!
I get that she cares, but I'd love to see Izumi have more chances to stand on his own two feet. Maybe even save *her* for once?
The Side Characters Deserve More Love!
Okay, unpopular opinion alert: the side characters are awesome. Hachimitsu, Inuzuka, Nekozaki - they're all great!
But they often feel like background decoration. Give them their own mini-arcs! Let them shine!
Imagine an episode focused on Hachimitsu's artistic endeavors. Or Inuzuka's secret talent for cooking. The possibilities are endless!
Overall: Still Cute, But Could Be Better
Look, I'm not saying episode 6 was *bad*. Shikimori's Not Just A Cutie is still a fun, lighthearted anime.
But it felt like it was playing it safe. A little too formulaic.
I'm hoping the next episode will bring something new. Something unexpected. Some *fireworks* that actually explode with excitement!
