Okay, let's talk Sky Store and Spider-Man: No Way Home. I know, I know, another article about Spidey. But hear me out.
My Unpopular Opinion
Everyone lost their minds over this movie. Nostalgia goggles were firmly in place. But did anyone else feel...slightly underwhelmed after the initial hype died down?
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm a cynical old soul. But I have some thoughts after renting it from Sky Store.
The Plot Thickens (or Does It?)
The premise? Brilliant! Multiverse madness with past Spidey villains? Sign me up! The execution? Well...
It felt a bit rushed, didn't it? Like they were trying to cram too much into one film. Give me a breather, Marvel!
And the villains? Some got satisfying arcs. Others felt like glorified cameos. Sandman just wanted to chill, let's be honest.
The Performances
Don't get me wrong, Tom Holland is a fantastic Spider-Man. He nailed the emotional beats, especially the Peter Parker struggles.
And the returning Spideys? Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were amazing. Their chemistry was fantastic!
But sometimes, the fan service felt a little too… blatant. Like they were ticking boxes rather than telling a story organically.
Sky Store Shenanigans
Renting it on Sky Store was a breeze, though. No complaints there. Except maybe the price. Is it just me, or are digital rentals getting pricey?
I swear, I could buy a pizza for the same amount. And pizza always delivers (pun intended!).
But hey, at least I could watch it in my pajamas. Silver linings, people.
The Emotional Rollercoaster
Okay, I'll admit, the ending got me. Peter losing everyone? Brutal! My cold, cynical heart actually felt something.
But then I remembered all the plot holes and convenient solutions. And the feeling faded slightly. Sorry not sorry.
Still, Spider-Man: No Way Home is a fun movie. It's a spectacle. It's a love letter to Spidey fans. But perfect? Nah.
Final Verdict
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it. But did it live up to the insane hype? For me, not quite. A solid 7/10.
Maybe I'm just a grumpy gus. Or maybe, just maybe, we need to temper our expectations a little.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to rewatch Spider-Man 2. Because that movie is genuinely flawless. Just saying.
So, stream it, rent it, or buy it on Sky Store if you're a true fan. But remember, your opinion is the only one that matters.
And always have a backup pizza ready. Just in case.
