Don't get me wrong, I admire their resilience. But does every pirouette need a backstory involving a sick puppy and a lost scholarship? Just dance!

And another thing... Do we really need to see every bad audition? I get it, for comedic relief. But sometimes, it feels cruel.

The Judges: Still Judging

The judges were back, doing their judge-y thing. Nigel Lythgoe, of course, was there. Delivering those classic Nigel comments.

He's like the Simon Cowell of dance. You love to hate him. Or maybe you just love him.

And the guest judges? They brought a fresh perspective. Mostly. Some of their critiques were questionable though. I mean, did they even watch the same dance?

There were some dancers who truly shined this week. That one contemporary guy? His extension was unreal. It made my legs hurt just watching him.

And the hip-hop duo? Their energy was infectious. They had the entire room grooving. Including me, on my couch, with a bowl of popcorn.
