Suppose A Kid From The Last Dungeon Crunchyroll

Okay, let's talk about "Suppose A Kid From The Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town." Or, as I affectionately call it, "That Ridiculous Anime About The Overpowered Country Bumpkin."

Now, I know a lot of people found this show hilarious. And don't get me wrong, there were definitely some funny moments. But I'm going to say something that might be considered anime blasphemy.

An Unpopular Opinion? Maybe.

I wasn't completely sold on it. There, I said it! I’m ready for the pitchforks and torches. It’s just... well, hear me out.

The premise is simple: Lloyd Belladonna, a naive farm boy, thinks he's weak. In reality, he grew up in the most dangerous village in the world, near the last dungeon.

So, naturally, he’s ridiculously strong. Like, accidentally-destroys-everything strong. The humor stems from his obliviousness to his own power.

The Overpowering Overpoweredness

This is where I started to have a slight issue. The "fish-out-of-water" trope is classic. But the level of Lloyd's unawareness sometimes felt...forced.

It's like, "Okay, we get it. He's strong." But after a while, the same joke gets a little stale. Does he *really* not notice that he's accidentally creating craters wherever he goes?

I found myself more interested in the supporting characters. They were a little more grounded, a little more relatable. Even though they were dealing with this overpowered goofball.

Take Marie, for example. She's got her own secrets and motivations. Or Selen, with her...interesting...methods of getting things done.

The Visuals and the Vibe

Visually, the show is pretty decent. Bright colors, clean character designs, typical anime fare. No real complaints there.

The overall vibe is definitely lighthearted and comedic. Perfect for a casual watch when you don't want to think too hard.

And there’s definitely an audience for that. I totally understand why people enjoy it. But, personally, I needed a little more substance.

Humor Is Subjective, Folks!

Look, I'm not saying it's a *bad* show. Far from it. It just didn't quite click with me the way it did with others. That’s the beauty of anime, right? There's something for everyone.

My brain just needed something with a little more… *oomph*. Maybe a darker storyline or more complex characters. Just my preference!

Plus, the whole "harem" thing never really appealed to me. Not knocking anyone who likes it. It’s just not my cup of tea.

Final Thoughts (Maybe Don't Throw Tomatoes)

So, yeah, "Suppose A Kid From The Last Dungeon" wasn't my favorite anime. But I didn't *hate* it. I gave it a fair shot. It just didn't quite land.

Maybe I'm just getting old and grumpy. Or maybe I just have weird taste. Either way, I'm sticking to my guns on this one.

Feel free to disagree with me. Let me know in the comments if you think I'm completely off my rocker. Just promise to be nice!

After all, we can all agree on one thing: anime is awesome. Even the ones we don't completely adore. Right?

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch Attack on Titan. Just to cleanse my palate.

Just kidding (mostly)! Maybe I'll give it another shot someday. But for now, I'm moving on to the next anime adventure.

Happy watching, everyone! May your anime preferences always be valid (even if they differ from mine).
