So, You Think You Know The Daily Life of the Immortal King? Think Again!
Let's be real. We all binge-watched The Daily Life of the Immortal King. We laughed. We maybe even cried (a little). But have you ever REALLY thought about what a typical day is like for these characters?
I have. And some of my opinions might be a little...unconventional.
Wang Ling: More Than Just Instant Noodles?
Everyone focuses on Wang Ling's insane power. Okay, valid. But what about his snack habits? We see him constantly eating instant noodles. I'm betting his bathroom breaks are epic. That's my unpopular opinion number one. Who else wants to place bets on the scale of instant noodle consumption of our boy Wang Ling?
Seriously, does he ever crave a salad? Or maybe a nice, juicy steak? We need a spin-off: Wang Ling Eats Something Other Than Instant Noodles. It'd be groundbreaking television.
Sun Rong: Is She Secretly Exhausted?
Sun Rong is the perfect student. Top of her class, beautiful, and always saving the day. She is a great character. But come on, is she ever allowed to just chill?
I bet she has a secret stash of trashy romance novels. Or maybe she spends hours watching cat videos online. My unpopular opinion number two? Sun Rong secretly dreams of ditching hero duties for a day of Netflix and chill.
Guo Hao: The Underappreciated Best Friend
Poor Guo Hao. He's always getting the short end of the stick. Everyone overlooks him. He's like the broccoli of the main cast.
But let's be honest. He's the most relatable character. He eats, he sleeps, he worries about grades. My unpopular opinion number three? Guo Hao deserves his own arc where he finally gets the girl... and maybe a decent superpower.
Chen Chao: The Tsundere We All Love to Hate (and Secretly Love)
Oh, Chen Chao. He's the resident rich kid and rival. He is jealous, arrogant, and strangely endearing.
Underneath all that bluster, I think he's just lonely. He probably just wants a hug (don't tell him I said that!). My unpopular opinion number four? Chen Chao's redemption arc is the most underrated thing about the show. Give the kid a break!
Xiao Yin: The Loyal Sidekick
Xiao Yin, oh our adorable beast. A very strong sidekick we may say. Wang Ling cares about him, even if he never shows it.
My unpopular opinion number five? I think that we should see more of Xiao Yin doing human things. He deserves to live like the cool animal he is.
In Conclusion: It's All About Perspective
Maybe I'm reading too much into things. Maybe I'm just projecting my own anxieties onto fictional characters. But isn't that what makes shows like The Daily Life of the Immortal King so great?
It's not just about the magic and the battles. It's about the characters. And their very weird, very relatable lives. So, what are your unpopular opinions?
