Yeah, that one. I've got a confession. I'm kind of… over it. There, I said it!

Rewatching Blues

I recently tried to rewatch it. You know, for nostalgia's sake. To relive my childhood.

It just didn't hit the same. Maybe my tastes have changed? Maybe I'm just getting old.

I love Carlton. I truly do. Alfonso Ribeiro nailed that role.

But sometimes? He's just… a lot. The dancing is iconic, of course. But the constant preppiness? It's a bit much sometimes.

Remember when they replaced Aunt Viv? Huge deal, right?

I get it, behind-the-scenes stuff happens. But the vibe just felt different afterwards.

The later seasons feel... forced? Like they were running out of ideas. The storylines became increasingly outlandish.

Don't get me wrong. The show had its moments. Hilarious moments, even.

But sometimes, the humor feels dated. The jokes haven't aged super well. I know. Burn me at the stake.

And the "very special episodes?" We all knew they were coming. Often felt preachy rather than impactful.

Will's character development? Questionable. He spends six seasons in Bel-Air.

Yet, he still gets into trouble. Still makes questionable decisions. I'm not saying he needed to be perfect.

But a little more growth would have been nice. Maybe a little less "fish out of water" after, you know, six years?

The theme song is catchy. I'll give it that. It's permanently burned into my brain.

But after a while? It becomes repetitive. Especially when binging multiple episodes.

Look, I'm not trying to trash the show. It was a cultural phenomenon. It made Will Smith a star.

I respect its impact. I appreciate the memories. But maybe it's best left in the past.

Perhaps some things are better enjoyed through rose-tinted glasses. A quick YouTube clip here or there is good. Full rewatches? Maybe not.

"Yo, homes to Bel-Air!" Except maybe I'm taking the next flight out. Sorry, Fresh Prince.

I'm sure this opinion is controversial. People will probably disagree with me. And that's okay.

But sometimes, the truth hurts. Even if that truth is about a beloved 90s sitcom. Don't hate me!
