Was Season 3 worth the wait? Ehhh... I know, I know! Blasphemy!

Everyone raved about it. Calling it a masterpiece, a sci-fi triumph. It's good, don't get me wrong, but a MASTERPIECE?

More Drama, Less Laughs?

Season 3 definitely took a more serious turn. It was heavier on the drama and less on the goofy humor.

I missed the silly adventures. I missed the awkward office dynamics of a spaceship crew.

Did anyone else feel like the show was trying too hard to be "important?" Just me? Okay...

Don't Get Me Wrong...

Look, the special effects were stunning. The storylines were complex. The acting was top-notch. I'm not saying it was bad.

But part of The Orville's charm was its ability to not take itself too seriously. It was Star Trek with a wink and a nudge.

Season 3 felt like it misplaced that wink. Remember Bortus constantly eating things he shouldn't? More of that, please!

Honestly, the biggest problem might have been the sheer amount of time between seasons. The hype was HUGE!

No show could *fully* live up to that level of expectation. Maybe that's why I felt a little underwhelmed.

The wait was long enough to binge watch every other Sci-fi show there is!
