Speaking of pizza-hungry walkers, they're after Judith Grimes! Little miss tough-as-nails Judith has to put her katana skills to good use. She's basically a mini-Michonne, and it's glorious.
Rosita's Radio Woes
Oh, Rosita. She's trying to reach Alexandria with the radio, hoping everything's still sunshine and daisies there. Spoiler alert: probably not! This is The Walking Dead, after all. Sunshine and daisies are strictly forbidden.
She hears someone! But it's all staticky and cryptic, like trying to understand your grandma’s tech advice. "Beware...something..." is all she gets. Thanks, mysterious voice! Very helpful!
Negan: The (Slightly) Less Evil Genius?
Yep, Negan is still locked up, but is he reformed? He’s giving Maggie advice, and she’s like, “Yeah, right, buddy!” It’s like getting life advice from a squirrel – you listen, but you're not exactly taking notes.
He’s basically telling her to toughen up the Hilltop crew. Maybe he's just bored and wants entertainment? Or maybe, just maybe, there’s a tiny little speck of not-evil left in that leather-jacketed heart of his.
Rick's Legacy Looms Large
Even though Rick Grimes is gone (sniff!), his absence is felt everywhere. Everyone is trying to live up to his ideals, but it’s tough! It's like trying to bake a cake from a recipe you only half-remember.
His vision of unity and peace is constantly challenged by walker hordes, inner conflicts, and now...the whispering voices on the radio! It's always something, isn't it?
A New Threat Emerges?
Those whispering voices are a BIG deal. They hint at a new kind of enemy, and they're creepy as heck. Think zombies are bad? Try dealing with people who wear zombie faces and whisper sweet (and probably murderous) nothings.
The episode ends with Rosita getting found by Eugene, but not the triumphant reunion they were hoping for. He's TERRIFIED. And given the context of everything else, that's not a good sign.
