Hold on to your hats, folks! Our favorite wandering witch, Elaina, is officially coming back for Season 2! Did anyone else squeal a little? I know I did. Maybe more than a little.
Yes, you read that right. More travels, more magic, and (hopefully) less questionable life choices from our ashen-haired protagonist. Get ready to judge her all over again!
My Unpopular Elaina Opinion (Don't Hate Me!)
Okay, deep breaths. I need to confess something. I actually like Elaina. I know, I know. She can be… selfish. And a little bit detached.
But hear me out! Isn't that kind of the point? She's a flawed character. She's not some perfect, saintly heroine. She's a witch who just wants to see the world, and sometimes that means stepping on a few toes (or causing a few small apocalypses… details, details).
Plus, her commentary is hilarious. Who else could narrate the weirdest situations with such detached amusement?
What We're (Probably) Getting
Season 1 gave us a whirlwind tour of magical lands and quirky characters. We saw everything from cursed towns to robot maids. Honestly, what didn't we see?
So, what can we expect from Season 2? More of the same delightful chaos, I hope! More thought-provoking stories wrapped in a pretty anime package. And definitely more Elaina being unapologetically herself.
Fingers crossed for some returning characters! I'm still holding out for another appearance from Fran Teacher! She's the real MVP, am I right?
Hopes and Dreams (and Maybe Some Demands)
Here's my wish list for the new season. More exploration of Elaina's past! We got glimpses, but I want the full backstory. Give us some angst!
Also, more complex moral dilemmas. The show shines when it makes you question things. Is Elaina really in the right? Or is she just a bystander watching the world burn?
And finally, please, please, PLEASE let Elaina develop some actual friendships. Seeing her connect with people (even for a short time) is the best part of the show. It reminds us that even a wandering witch needs a little human connection.
