Okay, hear me out. I know, I know. Subtitled anime is often considered the "true" way to experience the art. But sometimes, you just want to chill.

And for me, that chilling often involves the My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission English dub. Sue me!

Relatability is My Superpower

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the original Japanese voice acting. It's amazing! But when Bakugo is screaming in my native tongue? I feel that on a visceral level.

Maybe it's just easier to connect with the characters when they sound like people I know. Or at least, like people on TV I know. Plus, I can actually multitask while watching!

Folding laundry? Checking my phone (gasp!)? All possible when I'm not glued to the bottom of the screen reading subtitles.

The Voice Actors: A Quirky Bunch

The English voice cast is seriously talented. Justin Briner as Deku? Spot on. Clifford Chapin bringing the explosive energy as Bakugo? Perfection!

And let’s not forget Luci Christian as Ochaco. Her bubbly personality shines through, even with the added layer of translation. They bring these characters to life, in their own way.

It's a different flavor, sure, but a delicious one nonetheless. They bring their own interpretations, and I'm here for it.

Action That Pops (Without the Pause Button)

The World Heroes' Mission is packed with incredible action sequences. Constant reading while trying to keep up? That can be a workout for your eyes!

With the dub, I can fully appreciate the animation and choreography. No more frantically pausing to catch up on the dialogue during a pivotal fight scene.

Just pure, unadulterated, superhero-fueled action. Yes, please!

Humor That Lands (Without Needing Explaining)

Anime humor can be tricky. Sometimes, cultural nuances get lost in translation. Jokes that kill in Japan might fall flat elsewhere.

The English dub often adapts the humor to make it more accessible to a wider audience. Maybe it's considered "dumbing it down," but I just think of it as making it funnier.

Laughing is good for the soul! And if the dub gives me more laughs, I'm all in.
