Okay, Let's Talk Power Book II: Ghost Season 2, Episode 2
Am I the only one who secretly lives for these messy college dramas? Seriously, between classes, romance, and, oh yeah, *murder*, it's basically my guilty pleasure sundae.
First Impressions: "Selfish Tears"
That title? Chef's kiss! Sets the tone perfectly, doesn't it? Nobody's really thinking about anyone else but themselves, are they?
Monet is playing chess, not checkers. Her moves are always ten steps ahead. But even chess masters make mistakes, right?
The St. Patrick Legacy Lives On (Sort Of)
Let's be real, Tariq is carrying the weight of the whole show on his young shoulders. He's trying to be a good son, a good friend, a good...drug dealer? It's a lot.
And the moral dilemmas? Oh boy. I find myself yelling at the TV, like he can actually hear me. "Tariq, no! Bad choice!"
"Look, I’m not saying Tariq is perfect, but cut him some slack! He’s going through a lot."
The Side Characters Stealing the Show
Can we talk about Brayden? That dude is hilarious. The rich kid who's way too into the game? Comedy gold.
And Effie? Don't even get me started. Is she a snake? Is she loyal? I honestly have no idea, and I love it.
She might be smarter than everyone. That's just my personal, potentially unpopular, opinion.
The "Unpopular Opinion" Section
Here's where I get controversial. I actually like the college scenes! Sue me!
I know, I know, some people think they're boring. But they add a layer of realism and, dare I say, relatability. (Except for, you know, the whole drug dealing thing.)
Plus, it's nice to see Tariq just trying to be a normal college student. Even if he's failing miserably at it.
Moments That Made Me Go "Wait, What?"
That scene with Cane and the...motorcycle? I'm still trying to process that. Seriously, what was that about?
And that cliffhanger ending! Come on! They can't just leave us hanging like that. I need answers!
My jaw literally dropped. I might have even screamed. Just a little bit.
Overall Thoughts (Spoiler Alert: I Enjoyed It)
Look, Power Book II: Ghost isn't perfect. It's got its flaws. But it's also ridiculously entertaining.
The drama is high, the stakes are even higher, and the characters are all shades of morally grey. What's not to love?
I can't wait to see what happens next. Bring on episode three!
And if you disagree with my opinions? That's okay! We can still be friends...maybe. Just kidding (mostly).
