Seriously, what day of the week is "We Own This City" day? I have a theory. And it's probably controversial. Prepare yourselves.
It's not a Monday, that's for sure. Mondays are for fresh starts and pretending you're excited about emails. No room for corruption there.
Tuesdays: The "Maybe" Day
Tuesdays? Possibly. But Tuesdays still have some Monday hangover. People are still trying to be productive.
Too early in the week for things to fully go off the rails, you know?
Wednesdays: Hump Day Corruption?
Wednesdays? Nah. Hump day is too optimistic. People are looking forward to the weekend.
Besides, "We Own This City" energy is definitely not about getting over a hump.
Thursdays: Getting Warmer... Maybe?
Thursdays are close. The weekend is in sight. People start slacking off.
But even then, Thursday still feels a little… restrained. Like the bad decisions are simmering, not boiling over.
My Unpopular Opinion: Friday Is We Own This City Day

Think about it! Everyone's tired. No one cares anymore. The weekend is calling.
Rules? What rules? Budgets? Out the window! Moral compass? Taking a long weekend, apparently.
Friday is when the pressure valve bursts. The "I deserve this" mentality kicks in. And the "nobody's watching" delusion sets sail.
