Okay, Demon Slayer fans! We’ve all survived the epic Entertainment District Arc. Uzui’s flashiness blinded us, and the Upper Moon Six siblings gave us nightmares. But the question burns: What’s next?
The obvious answer is the Swordsmith Village Arc. We’ve seen the trailers! Shiny swords, new demons, and more Tanjiro head-butting things. It’s gonna be great.
But... Hear Me Out
Is it *really* what we *need* after the Entertainment District Arc? I have... thoughts. And they might be a little controversial.
A Breather Episode (Or Three!)
Imagine this: Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke relaxing. Maybe they’re helping out at the Butterfly Mansion. Kanae is scolding them. It would be pure, chaotic joy.
After the emotional rollercoaster of the Entertainment District Arc, a palate cleanser is necessary. We need time to process Nezuko's amazing feat. We need more Aoi and Kiyo. I said what I said.
Think beach episode, but with less fanservice and more existential dread disguised as sunshine. Okay, maybe just sunshine.
Tanjiro Learns To Cook
Seriously! Dude needs to learn how to make more than just onigiri. Maybe get Shinobu to teach him about poison (for... culinary purposes, obviously). Imagine the hilarity!
Inosuke would definitely try to eat the ingredients raw. Zenitsu would faint at the sight of a knife. It's a recipe for comedic gold.
The Hashira: Unplugged
We need to see more of the Hashira just...existing. Like, what does Giyu do on his day off? Does Shinobu ever stop smiling? Does Rengoku just shout motivational slogans into the mirror?
A montage of the Hashira doing mundane things would be brilliant. Maybe Sanemi is surprisingly good at flower arranging. My headcanon demands it!
They can even do a therapy session. With each other. It's time for the Hashira to address their traumas in a support-group setting. Sounds like a plan to me!
My Unpopular Opinion
Look, I love the action. I love the demon slaying. The Swordsmith Village Arc will undoubtedly deliver on both. But, sometimes, I crave the quieter moments.
Give me character development over flashy fights. Give me silly interactions over world-ending stakes. It could even be a flashback episode. I'm not picky!
Because let's be real. We’re all a little emotionally exhausted after watching Tengen lose an arm (or two). We need a moment to appreciate the journey *with* the characters. Before the next big battle.
So, while I’m excited for the new arc, I'm also secretly hoping for some slice-of-life Demon Slayer content. Because even demon slayers deserve a break. Right?
Don’t @ me.
