Ready for some hilarious, over-the-top family drama? Then you're probably wondering: what time are the Righteous Gemstones on tonight?
Finding the Gemstones on Your TV
Righteous Gemstones airs on HBO and streams on Max. You can catch new episodes Sundays at 10 PM ET. That's right after another hit show, so plan your evening accordingly!
But times may vary, so double-check your local listings. Cable schedules can sometimes be a bit... unpredictable.
Why You Should Be Watching
Okay, let's get down to brass tacks. Righteous Gemstones is more than just a TV show. It’s a laugh riot about a family of televangelists.
They're filthy rich, totally dysfunctional, and completely hilarious. What's not to love?
Meet the Gemstones
The show centers around the Gemstone family, led by the patriarch Eli Gemstone (played by the legendary John Goodman). He's trying to keep his family and his empire in line.
His three adult children, Jesse, Judy, and Kelvin, are all vying for power. They also have their own unique brand of crazy.
Jesse Gemstone, played by Danny McBride, is the eldest. He dreams of expanding the Gemstone empire, often with disastrous results.
Judy Gemstone, played by Edi Patterson, is the often-overlooked middle child. She's desperate for attention and approval. Her lines are pure gold!
And then there's Kelvin Gemstone, played by Adam DeVine. He's the oddball, obsessed with his body and his "muscle" ministry.
What Makes It So Good?
The writing is sharp, the acting is superb, and the situations are completely bonkers. It’s satire at its finest.
The show doesn’t shy away from poking fun at televangelism and mega-churches. But it does it with a lot of heart, strangely enough.
The characters, as ridiculous as they are, feel real. You might even recognize some of their flaws in yourself (hopefully not all of them!).
Each episode brings something new and outrageous. Expect car chases, wrestling matches, and a whole lot of screaming. All in the name of the Lord, of course!
"It's like if Succession and a religious satire had a baby... a very, very funny baby."
Beyond the Laughs
Underneath all the craziness, there's a surprisingly touching story about family. The Gemstones may fight and scheme. But they ultimately care about each other.
Even though they have a very weird way of showing it, they are family. They always get together in the end. Kinda.
So, set your reminders! Tune into HBO or Max on Sundays at 10 PM ET. Get ready for some Righteous Gemstones hilarity.
You won't regret it (unless you're easily offended by irreverent humor). In that case, maybe stick to something else. But for the rest of us? Amen!
Go on. Treat yourself. You deserve some Gemstone-level entertainment!
