Season 3 of What We Do In The Shadows? Oh, it's a wild ride, that's for sure! Think of it as your favorite comfy blanket, but with a few bats unexpectedly fluttering out.
The Leadership Vacuum (and Hilarious Fill-Ins)
Remember when Nandor, Nadja, and Laszlo unexpectedly became leaders of the local vampire council? Yeah, absolute chaos ensues.
These immortal roommates, notoriously bad at responsibility, now have to manage a whole bunch of *other* weirdos. Think gargoyles with gambling problems and sirens struggling with HR paperwork. It's gold.
Nandor's Quest for Love (and General Annoyance)
Poor Nandor the Relentless! He's still searching for love, or at least someone who can tolerate his… eccentricities.
His search leads him to a Djinn (played hilariously by the always-amazing Aparna Nancherla) and, well, let’s just say the wishes don't go quite as planned. Expect a lot of screaming and confusion.
Nadja's Ambitions (and Nightclub Dreams)
Nadja, ever the businesswoman (sort of), sets her sights on opening a vampire nightclub. It's about as organized as you’d expect, which is to say, not at all.
The club is always a source of endless comedic situations. There are definitely fights over the DJ and questionable drink specials.
Laszlo's…Unexpected Fatherhood?
Okay, this one is a major spoiler, but it’s too good not to hint at. Prepare for a surprise storyline involving Laszlo and a familiar face (or should we say, *body*) returning from the high seas.
Let’s just say Laszlo's parental skills are…unique. It involves a lot of questionable advice and singing sea shanties.
Guillermo: The Long-Suffering Familiar (and Secret Weapon)
Our favorite familiar, Guillermo, is still putting up with the vampires' nonsense. He also continues to secretly save their necks on the regular.
The season digs deeper into his vampire-hunting lineage, and we get to see him kick some serious undead butt. He’s the unsung hero, and finally, he might be getting the recognition he deserves.
Why You Should Watch (or Rewatch)
Season 3 doubles down on what makes the show great: the absurd situations, the witty writing, and the fantastic cast chemistry. The show is a laugh riot.
It's comforting in its familiarity, but always throws in enough unexpected twists to keep you entertained. You'll definitely find yourself quoting the characters long after the credits roll.
"Bat!"
What We Do In The Shadows isn't just a show about vampires; it's a show about family (albeit a very dysfunctional, blood-sucking one). Watch it for the laughs, stay for the surprisingly heartwarming moments.
