Okay, let's be honest. We're all thinking it. When, oh WHEN, is Lone Star 911 coming back on?
I mean, I love a good emergency, fake or not. But my Tuesday nights feel...empty. Is that dramatic? Maybe.
The Drought is Real!
It feels like forever since we've seen Rob Lowe saving the day in Texas. And I use "saving the day" loosely.
Mostly, he's dramatically narrating and looking handsome. Which, let's be real, is a service in itself.
I need my fix of quirky emergencies and improbable scenarios. Is that too much to ask, TV gods?
My Unpopular Opinion
I'm going to say it. Don't @ me. I might even like Lone Star 911 more than the original 9-1-1.
There, I said it! It's the Texas charm. The ridiculous situations. The slightly over-the-top drama.
Los Angeles is cool and all, but Texas has…armadillos. And better hats.
Plus, the romantic entanglements are delightfully messy. Who doesn't love a good love triangle (or pentagon, in this case)?
The Waiting Game
So, what's the hold-up? Is it the weather? Are there too many real emergencies in Texas to film a fake one?
Are they running out of storylines involving tumbleweeds and barbecue sauce?
Seriously, I need answers. I've rewatched all the old episodes. Twice.
Speculation Station
I've scoured the internet for clues. Rumors are swirling. Theories abound.
Some say production delays, others whisper about scheduling conflicts. Maybe Rob Lowe is busy perfecting his grilling skills.
Whatever the reason, the suspense is killing me! My Tuesday nights are incomplete!
And don't even get me started on the cliffhangers! What happened to [insert character name]? Is [insert relationship] doomed?
A Plea to the Powers That Be
Dear Fox Network, I implore you. Bring back Lone Star 911. My sanity depends on it.
Give us the release date. Give us a trailer. Give us SOMETHING!
I promise to watch every episode. I'll even live-tweet (responsibly, of course... maybe).
The Longest Hiatus Ever?
This feels like the longest hiatus in the history of television. Even longer than that time *Friends* went off the air (gasp!).
Okay, maybe not that long. But it feels like it. Every day without Lone Star 911 is a day wasted.
I need my dose of Texan heroism and improbable emergencies. My couch is ready, the popcorn is popped, and my DVR is set.
Until then, I’ll just be here…patiently (not really) waiting for the triumphant return of Lone Star 911. Seriously, guys, any day now would be great.
Just saying. 😉
