Okay, let's talk about The Voice. Specifically, when does Season 21 finally wrap up? Because, honestly, my DVR is starting to stage an intervention.
We've all been there, right? Caught in the whirlwind of blind auditions, battle rounds, and those awkward mentor moments. Seriously, who picks these advisors?
The Endless Singing Saga
It feels like Season 21 started when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Or maybe just when pumpkin spice lattes reappeared. Either way, it's been a while.
Trying to pinpoint the exact finale date feels like a pop quiz you forgot to study for. Except the answer isn't Pythagorean theorem. It's more like, "Who can hit the highest note while simultaneously battling stage fright?"
So, drumroll please... *The Voice* Season 21 crescendoed to its grand finale on December 14, 2021.
Why Does it Feel So Long?
Is it just me, or do singing competition shows stretch longer each year? Is it the endless sob stories? The overly dramatic lighting?
Maybe it's the sheer volume of performances. By the time we get to the live shows, I've heard "Hallelujah" enough times to last a lifetime.
Don’t get me wrong, some of the talent is incredible. But even the best singers can suffer from performance fatigue. Imagine singing your heart out, week after week, under the intense glare of the spotlight!
And let's not forget the judges. Bless their hearts. They are enthusiastic. But sometimes I wonder if they're actually listening or just thinking about their next endorsement deal.
An Unpopular Opinion?
Here's my controversial take: I sometimes miss the early seasons. Remember when things felt a little less… produced?
Back then, it was more about the raw talent. Now, it seems like a perfectly crafted package is equally as important. That voice is enhanced beyond recognition.
Of course, I still watch. I'm only human. The trainwreck appeal is too strong. Plus, I secretly love yelling at the TV when a bad song choice ruins a perfectly good voice.
And let's be honest, who doesn't enjoy predicting which contestant will cry first? It's a bonding experience with my couch.
But seriously, shorter seasons, please! My sanity (and my DVR) will thank you. We all want a faster pace. Let the true voice win faster!
The Aftermath
So, Season 21 is done and dusted. Another winner crowned. Another shower of confetti.
The question is: where are they now? How many past winners are regular names on your playlist? I have a few….
Maybe that's the real secret to enjoying these shows. Don't get too attached. Savor the drama, appreciate the good voices, and then move on with your life. Until the next season, of course! We are doomed to watch!
Until then, I'll be over here, trying to erase "Hallelujah" from my brain. Wish me luck!
