Trying to predict Legacies release dates feels like trying to herd cats. Or maybe vampires. It's chaotic.
Seriously, is there some ancient mystical calendar determining this? Is Hope Mikaelson involved? I wouldn't put it past her.
We stalk social media. We refresh streaming services. We practically camp out in front of the TV. All in the name of supernatural teen angst.
The Agonizing Wait: Theories and Speculation
During the downtime, the theories run wild. Did Landon finally figure out how to stay alive? Will Josie and Lizzie ever truly get along? The suspense is KILLING us!
My personal unpopular opinion? I kind of miss the simpler monster-of-the-week episodes. Less apocalyptic drama, more goofy creatures.
Don't get me wrong, the overarching storylines are great. But sometimes, you just need a good old-fashioned gorgon fight, you know?
And let's not forget the fashion. I'm convinced the Salvatore School has a seriously awesome wardrobe department.
"Where do they GET those outfits? I need answers!"
Seriously though, I'd trade my entire closet for Hope's leather jacket collection. Just saying.
The waiting game makes us do crazy things. Like rewatching old episodes for the tenth time.
Or, even worse, writing fanfiction. (Okay, maybe I'm guilty of that one.)

Then, finally, the day arrives. The new episode drops. It's like a holiday.
Suddenly, all the waiting, all the agonizing, all the wild theories… it all fades away. At least for 42 glorious minutes.
We binge-watch. We dissect every scene. We tweet our reactions using way too many emojis.
And then, it's over. And the cycle begins again. The eternal question resurfaces: When is the NEXT Legacies episode coming out?!
It's a vicious, beautiful, totally addictive cycle. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
But seriously, can someone just give me a calendar with the release dates already? My sanity depends on it.
Until then, I'll be here, rewatching the fight scene with Lizzie Saltzman in Season 4 (chef's kiss) and patiently (or not-so-patiently) waiting.
