Droughtlander. Just the word sends shivers down my spine. It’s like being banished to a place without scotch, tartans, or brooding Scottish Highlanders. A truly desolate landscape indeed.
Every time I finish a season, I swear I'll learn self-control. I'll take up knitting. I'll… well, I'll do something other than constantly refresh Starz's social media. Yet here we are, again, waiting.
It's a vicious cycle, isn't it? We binge-watch, we sob, we Google "Sam Heughan height," and then… nothing. Just endless waiting.
So, When ARE They Coming Back?!
The million-dollar question. The one that could end wars (or at least heated debates on Reddit). The answer is...well, it's complicated.
We all know Outlander Season 7 is coming. That much we know. But pin-pointing the exact date feels like trying to catch a greased pig at a Highland games.
Whispers and rumors abound. Theories are spun, timelines are analyzed, and yet, Starz remains frustratingly tight-lipped. Torture, I tell you, pure torture!
My Unpopular Outlander Opinion (Brace Yourselves!)
Okay, I'm going to say it. And some of you might hate me for it. But… I kind of wish they’d take their time.
Hear me out! Yes, I’m dying to see more of Jamie and Claire. Of course I am. But I want it done right.
Rushed seasons often feel… rushed. Plotlines get condensed. Character development suffers. And nobody wants a watered-down version of our beloved books. Nobody.
I'd rather wait a little longer and get a truly amazing season than have something thrown together just to fill the Droughtlander void. Quality over quantity, people!
But Seriously, Starz, Throw Us A Bone!
That being said… a little crumb of information wouldn't kill you, Starz. A teaser trailer? A behind-the-scenes photo? Even just a firm "coming sometime in 2025" would ease our collective anxieties.
We're not asking for much. Just a little something to keep the Outlander flame burning bright during these dark, Droughtlander days.
We're a loyal bunch, the Outlander fandom. We deserve a little love (and maybe a sneak peek at Jamie in a kilt… for research purposes, of course).
What to Do While We Wait (Besides Refreshing Twitter)
So, what's a Outlander fan to do in the meantime? Reread the books, obviously. Binge-watch the show again (and again).
You could also try learning Gaelic. Good luck with that! Or maybe plan a trip to Scotland. Anything to feel a little closer to the magic.
And, of course, we can all commiserate together online. Sharing theories, memes, and our mutual suffering. After all, misery loves company, especially when it's over the lack of Outlander.
