Okay, let's be honest. We've all been there. Staring blankly at the TV, remote in hand, thinking the same thing. "When IS the next Walking Dead episode?" It's a question that haunts us all. A question that keeps us up at night.
And sometimes... I secretly hope there *isn't* one. Yep, I said it. Unpopular opinion alert!
Is it Over Yet?
Don't get me wrong! I loved the early seasons. Rick! Daryl! Michonne! They were awesome. But let's face it, things have gotten... complicated.
The plot twists feel like a never-ending road trip. Sometimes I'm genuinely confused. Is that character dead? Did they get bit? Where even ARE they?
The Zombie Fatigue Is Real
Look, zombies are cool. Initially. But after eleven seasons? I think I'm officially suffering from zombie fatigue. Anyone else feel me?
It's like ordering pizza every single night. Eventually, you crave a salad. Or, I don't know, maybe a nice plate of pasta with NO brains on it?
Seriously, I think I can tell you exactly where every zombie is gonna be.
Okay, Fine, You're Still Hooked
But, I understand the pull. I do. The characters we hate? The love triangles? The ridiculously improbable survival scenarios? They suck us in.
So, you *really* want to know when the next episode airs. You've already binged everything available. You need your fix.
Sadly, there isn't one because *The Walking Dead* ended its eleventh season in 2022. The series finale, "Rest in Peace," aired on November 20, 2022.
But wait, there's more!
BUT! Hold onto your hats! The Walking Dead universe isn't entirely dead. It has grown, quite like a zombie horde, in fact. We have spin-offs!
The Walking Dead: Dead City, starring Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), takes place in a post-apocalyptic Manhattan. Chaos, claustrophobia, and plenty of walkers await.
Then there's The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Our favorite crossbow-wielding badass, Daryl (Norman Reedus), wakes up in France. How did he get there? Why is he there? Prepare for lots of brooding and zombie slaying in the French countryside.
And don't forget The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live! It brings back the dynamic duo of Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira). Is it romantic? Action-packed? Both? We will find out!
So, What Now?
So, no, there isn't a new Walking Dead episode. But there are a whole lot of continuations to keep you busy. Happy viewing!
Maybe I'll even tune in. Just don't tell anyone I said that. Especially not my salad.
Now, if you will excuse me, I'm going to go find something with zero zombie content. Maybe a documentary about puppies?
