Okay, let's talk Chicago PD. Specifically, that burning question: When does this season finally wrap up?
I know, I know, some of you are die-hard fans. You probably know the exact date. You’ve marked it on your calendar. Maybe even baked a cake.
The Great Finale Hunt
But for the rest of us? It's a bit of a mystery. It feels like it's been on forever, doesn’t it?
Seriously, I swear I started watching this show back when my biggest worry was dial-up internet. Now I’m dealing with… well, let's just say more "adult" problems.
Trying to pinpoint the finale date can feel like an actual police investigation. You're scouring the internet. You're reading cryptic tweets from Dick Wolf. It's intense!
Why We Need Answers (and Maybe a Vacation)
Look, it’s not that I don’t love Chicago PD. I do! The drama, the action, the questionable choices of certain characters… it's all very compelling.
But sometimes, you just need a break. You need to mentally prepare for the summer TV drought.
Plus, my DVR is begging for mercy. It's currently holding, like, 87 episodes of Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, and Chicago Med. Send help (and more storage).
The Unpopular Opinion (Brace Yourselves)
Here comes the controversial part. Ready?
I think these seasons are getting too long. Hear me out!
Fewer episodes might actually make the show better. Think about it. Tighter storylines. Less filler. More explosions (because who doesn't love explosions?).
I'm just saying, maybe we don't need 23 episodes of Voight glaring intensely at criminals. Maybe 18 well-crafted episodes would be even better.
Okay, okay, throw your tomatoes. I can take it.
So, When Is It REALLY Over?
Back to the original question. The burning, unanswered question. I'm not going to leave you hanging.
Typically, Chicago PD finales air in May. Keep an eye on the official show pages and TV listings to confirm the exact date for *this* season.
But until then, enjoy the ride! Grab some popcorn. Invest in a comfortable couch. And maybe start a betting pool on who’s going to betray whom next.
And remember, even if the season feels long, at least we have Hank Voight to keep us entertained with his… unique brand of justice.
Just try not to think about how many more weeks we have to wait. Focus on the present. Appreciate the small things.
Like the fact that you’re not currently being interrogated by Detective Upton. Small victories, people!
Okay, I'm going to go re-watch all the seasons of Chicago PD now... just to be sure I'm ready for the finale.
Wish me luck!
