Seriously though, I've refreshed my Crunchyroll more times than I've brushed my teeth this week. And that's saying something! Is it just me, or does the wait for the Swordsmith Village Arc feel like an eternity?
We all know the drill. They tease us with trailers. We analyze every single frame. Then...crickets.
The Great Release Date Mystery
The internet is buzzing, of course. Everyone has an opinion. From super specific dates to vague "sometime in Spring," it's a wild west out there.
Honestly, I'm starting to think Kagaya Ubuyashiki himself is holding the release date ransom. Is he making us prove our devotion?
And let's be real, the production quality is insane. But I'm willing to lower my standards, just a little! Release it in 720p! I'll squint!
My Unpopular Opinion (Prepare Yourselves)
Here's the thing, and some might disagree. I kind of... preferred waiting weekly? There, I said it!
Binge-watching is great, don't get me wrong. But the anticipation? The theorizing with friends? It was pure magic.
Now, we're all just staring at our screens, demanding answers like entitled demon slayers.
Maybe that's what they want. Maybe they're training us in the art of patience. Or maybe they just forgot to set a date! Who knows?
What We Think We Know
So, what's the consensus? April 2023 seems to be the frontrunner. But honestly, at this point, I'm not holding my breath.
I've started writing fan fiction. I've learned to forge a (cardboard) Nichirin Blade. I'm basically ready to animate the whole thing myself.
But seriously, give us something! A crumb! A screenshot of Tanjiro breathing! Anything!
In the Meantime...
Re-watching the previous seasons it is, I guess. I've memorized every line. I can probably do a better Zenitsu scream than Zenitsu himself.
And I'll continue to stalk Ufotable's Twitter. Maybe if we all tweet at them at once, they'll crack. Worth a shot, right?
