So, what's the deal? Is it in production? Did someone accidentally teleport all the animation cells to another dimension? My personal theory involves a mischievous dragon hoarding all the storyboards.
The internet is buzzing, of course. Fan theories are wilder than a magic-fueled rampage. Some say the studio is focusing on other projects. Others swear they saw a blurry screenshot of Eris with slightly longer hair. Wishful thinking, maybe?
Unpopular Opinion Alert!
Here's where I might get some tomatoes thrown at me. I kind of hope they're taking their time. Hear me out! I'd rather wait and get a fantastic season than a rushed, disappointing one. Quality over quantity, folks.
Imagine a rushed Season 2. Awful animation, plot holes bigger than the Demon Continent, and a completely botched rendition of the Ranoa Magic Academy arc. No thanks! I'd rather rewatch Season 1 a hundred times.
What We Know (or Think We Know)
Truthfully, official news is scarcer than a decent meal in the slums. There have been whispers, hints, and maybe even a cryptic tweet or two. But nothing concrete.
Most sources suggest that Season 2 is, in fact, happening. The Manga is selling well and the source is still available. The question remains: when oh when?
My best guess? We'll see it sometime in the next year or so. Hopefully, that's not just my wishful thinking talking again. Though, honestly, after the cliffhanger ending of the first season, they kind of owe us.
While We Wait...
What's a fan to do in the meantime? Read the light novels, obviously! They're even more detailed and give you all the juicy inner monologues of Rudeus. Prepare yourself for some serious overthinking.
Or, you could rewatch Season 1. Analyze every frame. Write fanfiction. Create elaborate theories about the Man-God. You know, the usual.
Personally, I'm doing all of the above. I'm also teaching my cat to cosplay as Roxy. Don't ask.
Let's Manifest Season 2!
Maybe if we collectively will it hard enough, Season 2 will magically appear. Like some kind of mass reincarnation spell, but for anime.
