Ah, Married At First Sight Season 14. Boston, baby! Remember all the drama? The awkward first dances? The questionable decisions? Yeah, me too.
Let's dive in, shall we? Who actually made it out of that dumpster fire… I mean, beautiful experiment… with their marriage intact?
The Lucky Few (or Were They?)
Okay, let's be honest. The success rate wasn't exactly stellar. Out of the five couples, only two decided to stay married on Decision Day. Two! That’s a 40% success rate. Someone call Harvard!
Katina and Olajuwon
First up: Katina and Olajuwon. Remember him? He had some… opinions. Loud opinions. About cooking, cleaning, and pretty much everything else.
Honestly, I wasn't holding my breath. But against all odds, they said "yes" on Decision Day. They even stayed married for a while after filming! Then, poof! They announced their divorce.
Unpopular opinion: I think Katina deserved a medal. Or at least a really nice spa day. Dealing with Olajuwon’s quirks couldn’t have been easy.
Noi and Steve
Next, we have Noi and Steve. Remember the social media drama? It felt like their entire relationship played out on Twitter.
He wanted to travel the world and quit his job. She liked Instagram and maybe didn't *love* cooking. They too, said "yes" on Decision Day. A collective "huh?" rippled across America.
Spoiler alert: They're divorced now. Honestly, did anyone *really* think they'd last? No shade, just… reality.
The Ones That Didn't Make It
Now for the couples who called it quits. Brace yourselves. It's not pretty.
Lindsey and Mark
Oh, Lindsey and Mark. Talk about a rollercoaster! Their honeymoon alone was enough to give you whiplash. She was, shall we say, outspoken. He was… well, he was Mark.
He was basically living in a cardboard box most of the season, wasn't he? They did not say yes. Shocking, I know.
Unpopular opinion: Lindsey made for great TV. Even if she was a little… intense.
Jasmina and Michael
Then there was Jasmina and Michael. Sweet, polite, and… utterly devoid of chemistry. They were like two incredibly nice roommates who accidentally got married.
They tried, bless their hearts. But the spark just wasn't there. They said no on Decision Day. It was the right call.
Unpopular opinion: I secretly wanted them to become best friends and just start a book club together.
Alyssa and Chris
And finally, the legendary Alyssa and Chris. Where do we even begin? She *hated* him. From day one. Like, burning-passion-hate.
She never even wanted to try! She said she was a "good person." Repeatedly. While refusing to share a hotel room with her husband. This was the shortest marriage in MAFS history, wasn't it?
Unpopular opinion: I kind of admired Chris for trying to make it work. Even though it was clearly doomed from the start.
The Verdict?
Season 14 was… a lot. Full of drama, questionable matches, and very few happily ever afters. It's a reminder that sometimes, even with the "experts" involved, love is a total crapshoot.
So, what did we learn? Probably nothing. But hey, at least we were entertained. Until the next train wreck… I mean, season.
Cheers to Married At First Sight! May your future matches be less disastrous. And may the drama always be plentiful.
