Okay, let's talk Pretty Little Liars. We all have our theories, right? And maybe, just maybe, some of those theories are a little...out there.
Who Was Actually "A"? My Hot Take.
Hear me out. I know what you're thinking. But I honestly believe it wasn't who they told us it was.
The Obvious Choice: The Twin Trope
Charlotte? Wren? Alex Drake? It's always some secret relative. Like a daytime soap opera.
Seriously, the secret sibling reveal is so cliché. It feels like the writers just pulled a name out of a hat at the last minute.
But what if... what if we’re looking at it all wrong?
My Unpopular Opinion: It Was Hanna Marin All Along
Yes, you read that right. Hanna. Don't @ me yet.
Think about it. Hanna was always the first to figure things out. She conveniently seemed to know all the players involved.
Could it be she just conveniently knew, or that she was the puppet master all the time?
The Evidence (Sort Of)
Let's break this down. Hanna had the most to gain from keeping the Liars together. It started to go downhill for her once the Liars distanced themselves.
She craved attention, and what better way to get it than by orchestrating a high-stakes drama where she's the "victim"?
And let's not forget her history of shoplifting! Isn't that a little sus?
We always thought that Hanna was the least likely one of the group to be behind it all. Perhaps she manipulated the story too well.
But Wait, There's More! (Probably Not)
Remember that time Hanna pretended to confess to being A? Maybe it was a double bluff. That's classic 'A' behavior.
Also, her fashion sense? Always a little bit too on-point for someone supposedly stressed out by a stalker. Hanna was always the trendsetter.
She had the money for the new clothes too, don't forget that.
Okay, Okay, Maybe I'm Wrong
Look, I know this is a wild theory. And I'm probably just yelling into the void.
The real ending was probably dictated by network executives and a focus group somewhere.
But wouldn't it have been more shocking if it was actually Hanna?
The Real Reason I Think It Was Hanna
Honestly? Because it would have been a great twist. And Pretty Little Liars needed more unexpected twists.
The show got so convoluted that it needed a clean reboot. Hanna would have been that reboot.
So there you have it. My controversial PLL theory. Feel free to disagree. But deep down, you know a part of you thinks I might be onto something.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go rewatch the series and look for more "evidence." Don't judge!
And remember, in Rosewood, nothing is ever as it seems.
Unless, of course, it's a secret twin. Then it's exactly as it seems. *eye roll*
Thanks for reading!
