Why Is Hulu So Dark On My Roku Tv

Is it just me, or is Hulu perpetually shrouded in darkness on Roku? Seriously, I feel like I'm watching everything through a pair of sunglasses. It's a viewing experience that's less "binge-watching" and more "binge- squinting."
