Will Darling In The Franxx Have Another Season

Okay, let's talk about something controversial. Something that keeps anime fans up at night. Something that involves giant robots and teenage angst. Yep, I'm talking about: Will Darling in the Franxx ever get another season?

The ending, well, it was…something. It definitely left some people scratching their heads. It wasn’t exactly a neatly tied-up bow, was it?

Darling in the Franxx had a great start. The world-building was interesting. The characters were…well, they were characters! We got invested in Hiro and Zero Two’s relationship. That’s what kept us hooked!

Then the plot went... somewhere else. Dinosaurs? Space battles? It got a bit wild, didn't it? It felt like they threw everything at the wall to see what would stick. In the end, not much did.

A second season runs the risk of making things worse. More convoluted plot twists? More characters we barely have time to know? It could be a disaster! Let's be real.

Plus, where would they even go with it? Hiro and Zero Two reincarnated in a brand new world. Seems like a pretty definitive end to their story, right?

It's like that saying, "Leave them wanting more." Sometimes, it’s better to let a story be. Let it live on in our memories (and fanfiction). Even if those memories are a bit...confused.

The Problem With Sequels

Think about other anime. How many sequels have lived up to the original? Not many, let's be honest. It's a tough act to follow.

Darling in the Franxx has its flaws, sure. But it also has its charm. And sometimes, that’s enough. The visuals were stunning. The music was fantastic. And those early episodes were truly captivating.

Why risk tarnishing that with a sequel that misses the mark? Why potentially ruin what we already enjoyed (at least, the first half of it)?

Let's Face Facts

The production studio has moved on. Studio Trigger and A-1 Pictures are busy with other projects. Getting everyone back together would be a challenge.

Even if they did, would they be able to recapture the magic? It’s a gamble. And honestly, I’m not sure it’s a gamble worth taking.

I know some of you are holding onto hope. You're dreaming of seeing Hiro and Zero Two back in action. I get it! I wanted it too, at one point.

But sometimes, the best thing is to accept the ending. Even if it's not the ending we wanted. Embrace the bittersweetness. Remember the good parts. And move on.

My Unpopular Opinion

So, there you have it. My unpopular opinion: Darling in the Franxx should not get another season. I think it's best left as a flawed, but memorable, one-season wonder.
