So, Power Book II: Ghost ended. Again. And everyone's asking the same question. Will there be a season 5?
The Never-Ending Saga of Tariq St. Patrick
Let's be real. Tariq's story is like that friend who keeps "almost" getting their life together. You root for them, but you're also kinda tired.
Season 4 felt…final. Like wrapping up a chaotic gift with too much tape.
Why I'm Okay With *No* Season 5
Okay, unpopular opinion alert! I'm kinda good if they leave it here. Hear me out!
We’ve seen Tariq hustle. We’ve seen him mourn. We’ve seen him... well, make questionable decisions. We get it.
How many times can one guy almost become his dad, then swerve away at the last minute?
The show is amazing, don't get me wrong. It has a tight story. The main character is also good!
The Case *For* More Ghost
Of course, there's the other side. Power fans are loyal. They want more drama, more twists, more Monet Tejada scheming.
And let's admit it: the show knows how to keep us hooked. Those cliffhangers? Masterful.
Plus, there are definitely loose ends. Remember that whole thing with… well, I won’t spoil it. But you know.
I am also a fan. I would watch Power all day long.
The Spinoff Universe: Where the Real Action Is?
Maybe the future of Power isn’t Ghost. Maybe it’s in the other spinoffs.
Raising Kanan is amazing and building a great storyline. Force keeps doing its own thing in Chicago.
These shows keep expanding the world and the Power Universe. Maybe Ghost can guest-star there?
My (Probably Wrong) Prediction
So, what's my guess? It's a coin flip. Fifty-fifty. A total gamble.
Part of me thinks Starz will bring it back because of the views. But another part thinks they will try to stop.
They have to be thinking about the show. They have to be discussing it.
Either way, the *Power* universe is going to give us a new spin off, or season. So the story continues.
The Real Reason We Watch
Let's be honest. We're all suckers for a good crime drama. Throw in some family secrets, and you can have a viewer for life.
Power, Power Book II, etc. keeps us entertained. We keep watching the series. That's why we will always be here.
Whether Ghost returns or not, the Power legacy will live on. Thanks, Courtney Kemp.
