Okay, let's talk about Young Justice Season 4, aka "Phantoms". Specifically, how many episodes there *actually* were.
The Great Episode Count Debate
Seriously, did anyone else feel like it was a never-ending saga? It felt like it was going on for decades.
Officially, everyone says 26. Twenty-six episodes. Seems straightforward, right?
Nope!
My (Slightly Unhinged) Theory
Hear me out. My unpopular opinion? It felt like 52. At least.
Each episode was so jam-packed! They threw in multiple plotlines, character arcs, and enough emotional gut punches to fuel a superhero soap opera.
I swear, each watch felt like a whole mini-movie.
Maybe it's because we waited so long for more Young Justice. It felt like they squeezed as much content as humanly possible into those "26" episodes.
Like, remember the Mars arc? Or when Zatanna was dealing with her dad? Or basically anything involving Phantom Girl? Each one could have been its own season!
A "Phantom" Number of Subplots
It's not just me, right? It felt dense.
It's like they weren't just telling a story; they were building a whole universe.
And honestly, I'm not complaining. More Young Justice is always a good thing.
But still, 26? Feels…deceptive.
Maybe my perception of time is warped. Maybe I was too invested in seeing Superboy and Miss Martian finally get their happily ever after.
I mean, let's be real, that storyline alone could have spanned at least ten episodes!
Is It Just Me?
So, what's the verdict? Did you also feel like "Phantoms" was secretly 50+ episodes long?
Or am I just lost in the Phantom Zone of denial about the fact that it’s over?
Tell me I’m not alone. Maybe we can start a support group.
We can all sit around and reminisce about the days when Young Justice never seemed to end. And complain about Vandal Savage. Always complain about Vandal Savage.
I'm only half-joking. Okay, maybe 75% joking. But seriously, 26 episodes? Seems low.
It's like they gave us a gourmet meal but only provided tiny, adorable spoons. We wanted more!
The (Un)Official Count
The official number remains 26. And I guess we have to accept that.
But in my heart, and in the hearts of other delulu Young Justice fans, it was a sprawling epic of approximately a million episodes.
And that's the truth...from a certain point of view.
So, thanks, Young Justice, for the "26" episodes that felt like 50. You broke our hearts and pieced them back together. Again.
Now, when's season five? Asking for a friend. And also for me.
Maybe it will be 100 episodes. One can dream, right?
