Okay, unpopular opinion time. *Cross Duel* wasn’t exactly the Yu-Gi-Oh! game we were craving.
Don't get me wrong, new ideas are cool. But sometimes, the classics are classics for a reason, right?
Maybe adding four players just made everything…messy? Like trying to herd cats, only the cats have attack points.
Where Did It Go Wrong? (Maybe?)
Was it too complicated? Too different? Did the Duel Links shadow loom too large?
I have theories. Wild, conspiracy-level theories involving aliens and secret card game societies.
But mostly, I think it just… missed the mark. The simple joy of one-on-one duels, gone.

So, Cross Duel came and (mostly) went. A blip on the Yu-Gi-Oh! radar.
Perhaps it teaches us that not all experiments are successes. And that's okay!
Innovation is good! Just... maybe stick to the basics sometimes. You know? Blue-Eyes White Dragon vs. Dark Magician. The good stuff.
The Future of Dueling (Probably Not Cross Duel)
Will Cross Duel make a comeback? Probably not. Stranger things have happened, though!
But the heart of Yu-Gi-Oh! beats on. In Master Duel, in Duel Links, in your old card collection.
