Okay, fellow This Is Us addicts, let's talk. Or, more accurately, let’s mourn. Because, let's face it, we're all wondering the same thing: How many episodes are we really clinging to?
It's like counting down to Christmas, but instead of presents, we're getting emotional gut punches. Fun, right?
The Official Count (and My Unpopular Opinion)
Officially, the internet tells us there are a limited number of episodes in that final season. Yes, my friends. The end.
But here's where my unpopular opinion comes in. I think we’ve already emotionally checked out. Anyone else feel like they’re dragging it? Don't @ me!
Seriously, each season felt like it stretched on just a little bit longer than needed. And let's be honest, that’s fine.
Remember the Good Old Days?
Remember season one? Pure, unadulterated joy and sorrow intertwined. We were hooked on the Pearson family from minute one.
Rebecca's struggle! Jack's mustache! Kate's singing! It was all gold.
Now? I feel like we’re just…revisiting the same themes, but with slightly different wigs. Come on, you know what I mean!
Are We Ready to Say Goodbye? (Probably Not)
Okay, despite my slightly cynical ramblings, I’ll admit something. A part of me is dreading the finale of This Is Us.
These characters have wormed their way into our hearts. We’ve grown up with them, cried with them, and yelled at our TVs with them.
So, even though I might be internally screaming for it to end, a part of me wants it to go on forever. Contradictory? Maybe.
What Will We Miss Most?
It's the little things, right? The perfectly timed flashbacks. Milo Ventimiglia's ability to make us cry with just a look.
The way This Is Us reminds us that life is messy, beautiful, and ultimately fleeting. Yeah, I guess I'm feeling a little sentimental.
And let's not forget the Thanksgiving episodes! Those were always a guaranteed emotional rollercoaster ride.
So, How Many Episodes REALLY Left?
Well, the number is finite. But the memories? The tears? The arguments about whether Randall is annoying or not? Those will last forever.
I know I will be thinking about Kate, Kevin, and Randall for a very long time. Will they be okay? And I think that is the point of this series.
Prepare yourself, grab some tissues (you'll need them), and let’s buckle up for the final emotional ride. Because whether we like it or not, the end is near.
One Last Request...
Can someone please explain the significance of the white whale before the series ends? Asking for a friend...okay, it's me. I need closure!
Also, please let Miguel be happy. He deserves it after putting up with the Pearsons for so long.
So here's to This Is Us. May your ending be satisfying, your flashbacks be poignant, and your tears be plentiful. Now, excuse me while I go re-watch the pilot episode for the millionth time. I am NOT crying, you are!
