Okay, let's talk Seraph of the End. Specifically, Season 2, Episode 12. It's the finale, right? Time for epic battles and tearful goodbyes.
Did It... End?
But did it really feel like an *ending*? I'm just asking the real questions here. Because honestly, it felt more like a "see you next season… maybe?"
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the ride. But the destination felt a bit... unfinished. Like ordering a pizza and finding it's missing a few slices.
Yuichiro's Inner Turmoil (Again!)
We get it, Yuichiro is special. Super special. Like, "chosen one" levels of special. But did we *really* need another episode of him wrestling with his inner demon?
I love a good character arc, I do. But sometimes, it feels like he's stuck in a revolving door of self-doubt. Someone get him a therapist, please!
Seriously, the poor guy is more confused than a chameleon in a bag of Skittles.
The Cliffhanger That Wasn't
And then... the cliffhanger. Or, what I'm *supposed* to believe is a cliffhanger. I found it a bit underwhelming.
It’s like they ran out of budget three minutes before the end. A little anticlimactic, no?
A good cliffhanger leaves you screaming at your screen. This left me shrugging and reaching for more snacks.
My Unpopular Opinion (Prepare Yourselves!)
Here it comes. Brace yourselves. Are you ready?
Kureto Hiragi is secretly the most interesting character. Fight me! (Not really, please don’t).
He's morally grey, manipulative, and probably has a five-step plan for world domination. That's way more exciting than brooding teens with cursed swords.
"He's the kind of villain you love to hate. Or maybe just love. I'm not judging!"
I bet he drinks his coffee black and laughs in the face of danger. Total bad-boy vibes, am I right?
The Power of Friendship (And Plot Armor)
Of course, the power of friendship saves the day (sort of). Yuichiro and his squad pull together (eventually). They always do.
Their bonds are stronger than vampire fangs, apparently. It's heartwarming, I guess. A little predictable, but sweet.
And let's be honest, they have plot armor thicker than a tank. Nothing *really* bad is going to happen to them, is it?
So, Was It Good?
Overall, Seraph of the End Season 2 Episode 12 was... fine. Not terrible. Not amazing. Just... fine.
It had its moments, for sure. Cool fight scenes, angsty monologues, and the glorious presence of Kureto. But the ending felt a bit like a missed opportunity.
Still, I'd probably watch another season if it ever happens. I'm a sucker for vampires and dramatic teenagers, what can I say?
