So, about Titans Season 3... It ended, right? We saw Nightwing finally being Nightwing. Things wrapped up...sort of.
The Big Question: Season 4?
Everyone's asking: More Titans? Will we see Dick Grayson brood in the rain again? Or fight Trigon's kids...again?
Honestly, I'm not sure we *need* it. Hold on, don't throw tomatoes just yet!
Why I'm Kinda Good With the Ending
Look, Titans had its moments. Some were great. Some were... less great. Like, seriously, how many times can we have Raven save the world?
The show struggled to find its footing. Tone was all over the place. One minute, gritty and dark. The next, awkwardly sentimental.
I wanted to love it. I really did. I mean, Teen Titans was my JAM! But the live-action version? It felt...complicated.
What Worked (and What Didn't)
Brenton Thwaites tried his best as Nightwing. He really did. But even he couldn't save some of those storylines.
Donna Troy was awesome! Until...well, you know. (RIP Donna...again?). The revolving door of death was a bit much.
And Starfire? Underrated queen! But even her fiery personality couldn't always ignite the show. Some of those costumes though were on fire.
The Villains: Hit or Miss?
Some villains were excellent! Others... not so much. Remember Scarecrow? Creepy, but ultimately underused.
The constant daddy issues also felt repetitive. Was everyone on this show adopted by an evil super-being? It seemed like it.
Maybe that was the point? Either way, the show really milked that angle.
My (Unpopular) Opinion
I think Titans had a good run. It gave us live-action versions of characters we loved. It wasn't perfect, but it tried.
Maybe it's better to leave it where it is. Let's remember the good moments. And forget the weird ones. (Looking at you, random Trigon appearances!).
Plus, think about it: how many times can these heroes face world-ending threats? They deserve a vacation! Maybe a beach episode...oh wait, nevermind. That would probably involve more brooding in swimwear.
But...What About Those Loose Ends?
Okay, okay, I know. There were a few dangling plot threads. But honestly, aren't there always? Most TV shows leave at least something ambiguous. That is show biz after all!
Maybe those loose ends are better left to our imaginations. We can create our own Season 4 in our heads. With all the awesomeness (and none of the awkwardness) we want!
Ultimately, whether or not Titans gets a Season 4 isn't up to me. But if it doesn't? I'm okay with that. Seriously, I am!
Maybe it's time for a new team to shine. Or a new take on the Teen Titans altogether.
So, goodbye Titans. Thanks for the memories. The good, the bad, and the Trigon-y. It's been a ride.
